What is going on in Ivory Coast?

The new elections in Ivory Coast were in November 2010. Alassane Quattar was declare the winner, but the ex president Laurent Gbagbo refused to leave the power. Gbagbo said that France tried to kick him out, because he was standing up for the economic interests of the making of cocoa using the UN forces. Laurent was arrested by Quattar forces and the French and the UN forces helped. This way Gbagbo can front justice. The Quattar foreces killed hundresds of civilians and raped more than 20 suporters of his rival. In the other hand Gbagbo burned 10 villages. Also the presidential house was been bombed. Many dead people lie on the streets of Abidjan. Some million people had left their homes. Many are living in desperate circumstances, without shelter or food. The International Criminal Court is investigating possible crimes against humanity.

The situation in Ivory Coast, needs to be taken care of because, if justice strikes against Gbagbo things could get worst. The followers of the Ex President Gbagbo would want to take revenge and many innocent lives could be in risk. Also trying to attempt against the life of the new elected President Alassane Quattar.
